15288 Harmonized with 12207

The ISO/IEC 15288:2008 standard applies to systems that may be comprised of hardware, software, data, humans, processes, procedures, facilities, materials and naturally occurring entities. The 15288:2008 and 12207:2008 standards have been harmonized so that, per the 15288 standard, application of 12207 processes to the software portion of a system is acceptable. The figure below shows where 12207 could be applied in the development of a complex system requiring both hardware and software components.
